UC San Diego Esports
Established in August of 2019 with the help of Triton Gaming and other student gaming groups on campus, UC San Diego Esports is a student-led organization housed within the UC San Diego Recreation Department and exists to give students the opportunity to experience the commitment, challenge and enjoyment of the competitive esports experience. We currently support nine different esports teams — League of Legends, Overwatch 2, StarCraft II, Dota 2, Valorant, Splatoon 3, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros., Ultimate, and APEX Legends. These teams are initiated and run by students who reflect the diverse landscape of esports as a whole. UC San Diego Esports is committed to being as inclusive as possible and aims to give students access to the facilities, equipment and support that are needed to perform at the highest level.
In less than a year, Recreation will open the doors of its second esports facility for the first time, gaining 35 more PC gaming stations, including 10 on a raised stage.
Will you make a gift to support Esports today?
A gift of any size will continue to support the gaming community and the student-leaders that make it such a pivotal part of college for so many Tritons. And you can also support the program by naming a gaming chair in the new or current space (see below criteria).
UJIMA Network Black History Month Scholarship
The UC San Diego UJIMA Network Black History Month Scholarship fund, named in honor of Mary S. and Joseph W. Watson, makes scholarship awards annually to any enrolled UC San Diego undergraduate students who have demonstrated academic and creative achievement in the study of African Americans and their history and culture.
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must be nominated by a UC San Diego faculty member who documents and describes the excellence, creativity and significance of the student's research or performance. Awards are given to undergraduate students for either research papers or publicly presented creative works in the performing arts and humanities or the social and natural sciences.
The UJIMA Network, an alliance of Black staff, faculty, students, alumni and community at UC San Diego, endeavors to create a medium which fosters opportunities for African American staff, faculty, students, alumni and community members. The UJIMA Network supports all programs and services aimed at advancing the educational, cultural and professional conditions of African American individuals internal and external to the campus community.

Undergraduate Study Abroad Scholarships
Study abroad programs offer students the ability to change their lives and develop critical skills, including intercultural competencies, empathy, problem-solving and the courage to be changemakers.
Our students are eager to experience the world, but financial concerns are the most-cited reason students choose not to study abroad.
Your support today will make global learning opportunities more accessible and give students with financial need the opportunity to participate in international experiences that inspire lifelong connections, global awareness and personal growth.

Warren College Innovation Fund
Our students strive to understand the invaluable contributions an individual can make in society inspired by the groundbreaking achievements of California governor and Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, Earl Warren. For some, that means grappling with diverse opinions and ideas through programs like Warren Writing and Ethics and Society. For others, it means participating in co-curricular activities like the Warren Service Organization.
Your generosity today empowers these scholars to explore the relationship between ethics, society and the law. The Earl Warren College Innovation Fund supports student-centered activities, like research scholarships and coffee with a professor, that complement their coursework.

Weil Family School of Arts and Humanities Transfer Student Support Fund
The Preparing Accomplished Transfers to the Humanities (PATH) program at UC San Diego’s School of Arts and Humanities addresses the unique challenges faced by transfer students, particularly those from disadvantaged communities. A collaborative initiative between the School of Arts and Humanities and the San Diego Community College District, PATH is preparing a new generation of leaders who will redefine the value and significance of the humanities in contemporary society.
Since its 2016 launch with a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the PATH program has served 155 students through its summer academy, a five-week transition program that features academic courses, campus resource workshops, peer mentorship and social activities. In addition, PATH also offers a PhD fellowship program, a faculty steering committee, a digital humanities workshop series, and student support services.
Through its mission to ensure the academic success and social integration of transfer students at UC San Diego, PATH prepares students for meaningful careers and enhances diversity and inclusion within the humanities. Support for the PATH program would ensure its sustainability and growth for years to come, enabling the program to expand its impact and bridge funding gaps in nonacademic areas. While the PATH program provides scholarships, mentorship, a student emergency fund, and a food pantry, the funding currently available to support these essential student services is limited.
Together with your philanthropic support, we can strengthen pathways for transfer students and prepare them for meaningful careers in the humanities!

Women's Club Soccer Team
The UC San Diego Women’s Club Soccer Team is a competitive program within the West Coast Soccer Association. Outside of competition, we pride ourselves on creating a healthy outlet for student-athletes to find connection on campus, give back to the community and continue to compete in a sport we all love.
Thanks to the generosity of a donor, we were able to hire a coach for the first time in several years which has elevated our program to a whole new level. We are privileged to host an annual Triton Invitational, a successful venture held jointly by the Men’s and Women’s club teams since 2009, which brings club teams from across the nation to our beautiful city and campus.
Women's Club Volleyball Team
UC San Diego Women’s Club Volleyball is a passionate, student-run team dedicated to excellence both on and off the court. As a competitive club we provide athletes with opportunities to develop their skills, foster lifelong friendships and represent UC San Diego at regional and national tournaments.
Unlike varsity programs, we rely entirely on fundraising and donations to keep our team running — ensuring we have the necessary equipment and resources to compete at our best.
Women's Club Water Polo Team
The UC San Diego Women’s Club Water Polo Team is a competitive team, having ranked 3rd in the nation in 2024 and attended Nationals in 2018 and 2022. We work hard annually in hopes to bring home a national title, yet more importantly we focus on creating a team culture that is welcoming, inspiring and uplifting.
Our program has tripled in size since it’s origins, and we want to provide a home for as many student-athletes as we can who share our love for this sport. While growth and success in the water can be top of mind, the team is committed to shaping our athletes into leaders in and out of the pool.
Women's Lacrosse Team
The UC San Diego Women’s Lacrosse team is a Division II club team that competes against universities around the west coast in pursuit of the Division II WCLA Championship title.
We’re thrilled to share that after an amazing season and a strong finish at the WWLL Championship in Santa Cruz, our team has received an at-large bid to the WCLA D2 National Championship in Wichita, Kansas from May 7th - 10th! We’re honored to be seeded #4 and represent UC San Diego on the national stage.
Now, we’re working fast to prepare to head to Kansas and compete against the top-ranked teams in the nation — and we need your help. Every single donation—no matter the size—makes a meaningful difference. Your support truly means the world to us and helps us carry on the legacy of UC San Diego Women’s Lacrosse.
