UC San Diego Men’s Lacrosse is more than just a team or program, it’s a lifelong brotherhood that shapes its student-athletes into leaders, competitors and resilient individuals. The lessons learned on the field — discipline, perseverance and teamwork — extend far beyond college, preparing them for success in every aspect of life. The bonds formed, challenges overcome and memories made through this program become defining moments that stay with our players long after graduation.
Competing in the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference and the MCLA, UC San Diego Men’s Lacrosse is a highly competitive program with the ultimate goal of winning both the SLC and National Championships. The journey toward that goal is the most rewarding and transformative experience of our student-athletes’ college lives.
What we will do with Giving Day donations:
UC San Diego Men’s Lacrosse has reached a historic milestone, earning a top-five national ranking and positioning ourselves for a MCLA National Championship run. However, the cost of competing on the national stage is high, and as a self-funded program we rely on generous donations to cover travel, lodging and other team expenses.

What a season for the Tritons! The UC San Diego Lacrosse Team has made history by earning its first #1 ranking in the MCLA National Coaches Poll and starting the season 11-0! We hope to continue making history by winning our first ever Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (April 26-27) and advancing past the round of 16 at the MCLA National Championships in Austin, Texas. And your Tritons need your support to help us get there! Next year will be my 30th year of coaching at UCSD, and to celebrate, I pledge to donate $10,000 to the UCSD Men’s Lacrosse Excellence Endowment if the total of our alumni, family, and friends donations to the Men’s Lacrosse current use fund exceeds last year's total of $19,050.
