Triton Robotics
At Triton Robotics, our mission is to empower students to explore their passions in robotics while developing industry-relevant skills for their future careers. As of Winter 2025, our team has grown to 72 members, making us one of the leading engineering project teams at UC San Diego. Since 2018, we’ve proudly represented UC San Diego in RoboMaster, a global collegiate robot paintball competition. Every aspect of our robots — from mechanical systems and custom circuit boards to software — is designed and built entirely by students.
We are deeply committed to advancing robotics and STEM education at UC San Diego and across the greater San Diego area. Each year, we collaborate with local schools, scout troops, and campus outreach programs to spark curiosity and inspire K–12 students to pursue engineering. While our passion drives us, our resources often limit what we can achieve. Building our robots from the ground up requires annual investments in motors, electronics and materials.
Your support can make a meaningful difference. A gift to Triton Robotics helps us build more robots, reduce time spent on fundraising, and focus more on outreach, education, and innovation.
Donations through Triton Giving Day will go directly to the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Excellence and Innovation Fund (E3889) in support of Triton Robotics.
