Karen Calfas Polarek Knock Around Campership Endowment

Knock Around Camp (KA) is located on the UC San Diego campus and has served the children of students, staff and faculty for the past 35 years. As part of the Recreation department, Knock Around Camp is built upon our belief that environment dictates a child’s summer experience.

We strive to create a low pressure, high energy, positive environment where children are encouraged to create friendships and explore creativity. In each of our camps, children are introduced to a wide variety of activities designed to promote teamwork, self-esteem, leadership, cultural awareness and friendship.

King Triton Fund

Have you ever walked by the King Triton statue at UC San Diego and thought, "Something's missing?

Despite being unfinished, this 750-pound bronze sculpture, designed by UC San Diego alumna Manuelita Brown, MA ’76, has already become an iconic symbol of school spirit and a beloved campus landmark. Located at the steps to Price Center East, it serves as a meet-up spot, photo op and mascot for the university.

Your donation is needed to complete this legendary landmark! Every gift counts, and by making a donation today, you'll be helping to create a symbol of school pride that will benefit generations of Tritons to come.

Join the effort to finish the King Triton statue and be a part of UC San Diego's history!

Library Affordable Learning Initiative

The rising cost of textbooks, technology and course materials puts a financial strain on Triton students, making academic success more challenging than ever. Did you know that some students spend over $1,200 a year on textbooks alone, forcing difficult choices between purchasing required materials and meeting basic needs.

UC San Diego Library plays a vital role in leveling the playing field by maintaining important course reserves — providing students with access to high-cost course materials that are not otherwise available. But demand is growing, and we need your help to ensure every student has what they need to succeed.

This Triton Giving Day, your support can:

  • Expand the Library’s collection of high-demand textbooks
  • Increase access to digital course materials
  • Ensure every student has the resources to thrive academically

Your gift—no matter the size—helps the Library provide equitable access to learning materials, so that every Triton can focus on their education, not the cost of their textbooks.

Support the Library today and invest in student success!

The gallery's Undergraduate Professional Development Program offers undergraduate students hands-on learning, mentorship and exceptional preparation for careers in the arts through paid part-time employment opportunities.

With your support, the Mandeville Art Gallery can continue to offer opportunities for students like Stephania Torres-Londono '24 to advance their career in the arts. Stephania worked as a gallery guide at Mandeville Art Gallery, gaining hands-on, paid experience as she worked towards her future career goals. Men's Club Soccer Team

The UC San Diego Men’s Club Soccer team has been committed to promoting the sport and the school while maintaining high standards, both on and off the field.

This year the team, composed of passionate and dedicated student-athletes, earned qualification for the 2024 NIRSA National Soccer Championships in Round Rock, Texas. While we did not make it to the podium we are hungry to get there again in 2025 and show the nation what our program is all about.

We have persevered through some tough moments, and achieved the long-awaited goal of returning to the national stage. We continue to practice and compete, co-hosted our Triton Invitational with the women’s program, and look forward to continuing to grow this program that has given so much to each of us.

Men's Club Volleyball Team

The UC San Diego Men’s Club Volleyball team has been a competitive force in the Southern California Club Volleyball League (SCCVL) for many years — one could say we have grown to become a consistent powerhouse in the world of club volleyball.

The Tritons have qualified for the top division at Nationals for over a decade, and while we’d love to be the best, we are also proud of the success of our student athletes on and off the court.

Men's Club Water Polo Team

After 3 consecutive hyper-successful seasons, the narrative according to the rest of the country is that the reign of UC San Diego Men's Club Water Polo is finally over. Our coach of 10 years has retired and our best player, the back-to-back nationals player of the year, has graduated. However, internally, there is a completely different narrative.

We truly believe that our team might be even better right now than in past seasons, and we are so excited to prove it this spring. We plan on attending more tournaments than any spring before; traveling to Santa Barbara, NorCal and Texas.

Men's Lacrosse Team

UC San Diego Men’s Lacrosse is more than just a team or program, it’s a lifelong brotherhood that shapes its student-athletes into leaders, competitors and resilient individuals. The lessons learned on the field — discipline, perseverance and teamwork — extend far beyond college, preparing them for success in every aspect of life. The bonds formed, challenges overcome and memories made through this program become defining moments that stay with our players long after graduation.

Competing in the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference and the MCLA, UC San Diego Men’s Lacrosse is a highly competitive program with the ultimate goal of winning both the SLC and National Championships. The journey toward that goal is the most rewarding and transformative experience of our student-athletes’ college lives.
